Hudson Valley Seed Library Interested in seed saving? Know folks who are? The Gardiner Library in the Hudson Valley is expanding its collection of books to include heirloom and indigenous SEEDS. As the seed library grows, a newly forming organization called VESSEL will maintain the collection and ensure that the seeds are properly grown out. VESSEL, the Valley Educational Seed Saving Exchange and Library, will be cooperating with local farmers, CSAs, home gardeners and farm organizations to grow out plants, collect local seeds, and provide educational seed saving workshops. Eventually, we hope VESSEL will become a membership-based organization dedicated to preserving the local plant diversity of the Northeast. If you would like to get involved in anyway, please contact us at the Gardiner Library 845-255-1255 or Ken Greene at dinokale@yahoo.com. Opening
